New Cabinetry
- Material: The most well-liked species of wood kitchen cabinets such as Oak, Maple, Hickory, Cherry, Pine, and Birch wood. Solid hardwood cabinets typically cost much more than laminate or veneer finished cabinets
- Finishes: There are many Kitchen cabinet finishes to choose from when using natural woods. Cabinet finishes include stain, paint and glazing options. In addition there are my types of distressing techniques such as Rasping, Antiquing and Rub-thru. Veneer cabinets come in a variety of pre-finsihed options.
- Door Style: The shape you choose will have quite an effect on the overall look of your kitchen. You should have in mind what style you are going for (contemporary, modern, traditional, etc).
- Custom Solutions: There are many custom options out there to increase the functionality, storage capacity, and overall beauty of your cabinets. You may want a pull-out spice rack, pull-out drawers for pots and pans, a lazy susan in a corner cabinet, or a built-in wine rack. We will go over all of your options with you.
Refacing Cabinets
If you are satisfied with your existing layout but want a new style, refacing your existing kitchen cabinets may be a great option. This is a good idea if your cabinets are in good structural condition and you have enough counter space and storage.After removing your old doors and drawer fronts, your cabinet face-frames are covered with a new laminate or paint. Your old doors and drawer fronts are then replaced with new custom-made doors and drawer fronts. Cabinet refacing will give you a totally new custom look at an affordable price.
Refinishing Cabinets
Refinishing your kitchen cabinets is the most economical option to change the look of your cabinets. The price for painting or refinishing your cabinets will depend on the type of paint and method used. All wood and plywood cabinets can be repainted. However, metal cabinets, laminate and melamine cabinets are more difficult to paint because special paints must be used to prevent peeling and chipping.
